(b 1985Germany. Lives and works in Berlin)
Behr does not need much to make his art. In recent years, he has cultivated a predilection for DIY strategies in various parts of the world. His way of working is characterized by the intensive exploration of public space and an inclination toward everyday materials with a strong emphasis on improvisation.
At the core of his mostly site-specific work is the principle of collage and its spatial unfolding. In the manner of bricolage, Behr produces installations and sculptures on a range of scales from remnants of used objects, debris from the streets, and various reused materials.
