Alex March used collage, film, painting, drawing and installation to collect and skew visual imagery as it reinforces patriachal norms. She is particularly interested in the female form, the feminine as allegory or cipher in popular culture and Art History.
"Cutting, editing, and rearranging takes me to that place of disconnection where images unmake and make themselves anew. I let the images take me where they will. Negative spaces, intermediate places of connection, and the interstices ( a tiny slice of line, where one image ends and another starts) are important."
