Working in sculpture, performance, drawing and text., Anna's work is rooted in human experiences of vulnerability and exposure. The works foreground forms of shelter, growth and regeneration within the non-human world. Using modified grotto techniques she combines materials as aggregates, such as oyster shells, cardboard, cement, oil pastel and paint. Taking inspiration from the harsh but abundant ecologies of coastal landscapes, the works appear populated by marine accretions and watery realms.
