Merola investigates the role of chance and random processes in determining human behaviour. He works with compositions, where the shape and colours are derived from dice rolls or coin flips. With an additional interest in verbo-visual experiments, Merola embraces a variety of disciplines which include writing as well as other forms of visual communication.
