Laborde Lascaris merges his interests in engineering, architecture, artefacts and material processes. He enjoys the physical act of producing work, which moves him to experiment with a wide range of media and techniques. His sculptures and works on paper describe familiar objects or artefacts but leave certain essential information out. Movement, transience and instability are suggested in the forms through the use of wheels, curves, handles or unusual bases. He encourages his audience to question the function of these partially recognisable forms and explore the possibility of their mobility.
