Padovan works in a variety of media and creative disciplines including painting, sculpture set design, acting, writing and directing for theatre. Characterised by soft, atmospheric and gradual transitions between light and shadow, his renderings are attempts to make visible what is elusive. These gently graded textures and veils of colour are sometimes interrupted by sudden movements or folds that evoke the tensions and fragmented nature of memories and half-remembered dreams.
