Fiona Koene is a visual artist who is fascinated by shadow play and minimalism, which form recurring themes in her work. Since 2018, Fiona has been creating work by embossing minimalist abstract shapes on paper with an emphasis on creating the impression of different dimensions.
“Due to the lack of colour I look for the tension between the different shapes,” she says, “so that residual shape is just as important as the shape itself.”
