Beheshti’s work has an architectural base and incorporates a wide variety of shapes and structural forms. His process involves the reduction of visual reality to its fundamental lines and textures through a combination of traditional drawing media such as graphite powder, ink and pencil and less conventional techniques such as print transfers. His paintings, drawings and sculptures decontextualize familiar materials and objects in an attempt to seek out their essence while attempting to track his own cognitive processes.
