Zavier Ellis

Ellis's practice combines text with collage; assemblage; photographic and painterly techniques. He deploys language to both obfuscate and open meaning; inviting his audience into a confused dialogue that embraces the broken; incomplete and mistaken. Each series of works is informed by extensive material and theoretical research; building on the artist's internal and personalised symbolism and serving as a meditation on historical events and belief systems.
