Fiona Koene

Fiona Koene is a visual artist who is fascinated by shadow play and minimalism; which form recurring themes in her work. Since 2018; Fiona has been creating work by embossing minimalist abstract shapes on paper with an emphasis on creating the impression of different dimensions. “Due to the lack of colour I look for the tension between the different shapes;” she says; “so that residual shape is just as important as the shape itself.”
