Collection: Ali Beheshti
(b 1988, Iran. Lives and works in Tehran)
Beheshti's work has an architectural base and incorporates a wide variety of shapes and structural forms. His process involves the reduction of visual reality to its fundamental lines and textures through a combination of traditional drawing media such as graphite powder; ink and pencil and less conventional techniques such as print transfers. His paintings; drawings and sculptures decontextualize familiar materials and objects in an attempt to seek out their essence while attempting to track his own cognitive processes.
