Poblete works around the notion of transformation. He mainly paints, although his practice incorporates other raw materials into pictorial base-layers such as ground pigments, oxides and carbon, linking them together to create changes and accidents as part of an alchemical-like quest. Poblete prefers maximalist approach that allows these interventions to be most evident.
