Avora draws from her everyday life in Singapore as well as her Greek ancestry to explore a wide range of subject matter. Her vivid and dream-like paintings aim to weave together real and fictional elements. Through her mark-making, she investigates the potential for painting to transcend imagery by reducing it to basic colours, shapes, patterns and forms.
